The iTB is indEx's core product: a fabricated terminal box with a hinged lid, available in any size, any material, with any entry configuration. In its ATEX variant (iTB·Ex) it is certified to Ex e increased safety under IEC 60079-7 and carries ATEX, IECEx and UKCA approvals. In its industrial variant it meets IP66 without hazardous area certification.
Every iTB is fabricated to your drawing in our Ashford, Kent facility. No standard SKUs , the size, material, finish, entry positions, and terminal population are all specified by you.
The lid stays open during installation, no hands needed. Stainless steel hinge pin. High-performance silicone gasket maintains IP66. Lid bolts on opposite side to hinge.
Custom sized to your footprint. Depth to accommodate your terminal block count and wiring radius. No minimum order.
Marked II 2 GD. Gas: Ex e IIC Gb, Zone 1 & 2, T4–T6. Dust: Ex tb IIIC Db IP66, Zone 21 & 22. ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, IECEx and UKCA certified. CML-certified terminals to your schedule.
Cut, formed and welded in-house. 316L for marine and chemical. 304 for food and pharma. Mild steel powder-coated where corrosion is not a concern.
Standard removable gland plates bottom and sides. Top-entry gland plates to order. Custom hole patterns to your cable schedule. Blanked as standard.
Supplied empty or fitted with Ex e certified terminal blocks (Phoenix, Entrelec or equivalent) to your terminal schedule. DIN rail, earth bars and end-stops included.

The same fabricated terminal box without the hazardous area certification. IP66 as standard. Used across food and beverage, marine, infrastructure and general industrial plant where ATEX certification is not required. Available in all three materials: 316L, 304 and mild steel.
