Bolted lid.
Better seal.
Junction boxes with a bolted perimeter lid. 316L stainless as standard. ATEX Ex e certified for Zone 1 and Zone 2. Custom sizes from 120×120×90 to 2000×1200×800.
A junction box where
the lid is the seal.
The iSTB is a bolted-lid junction box: the lid is fastened by perimeter screws rather than a continuous hinge, creating a superior seal and a more robust closure for demanding environments. In its ATEX variant (iSTB·Ex) it carries Ex e increased safety certification for Zone 1 and Zone 2 under IEC 60079-7.
316L stainless is standard throughout, with 304 available where chloride resistance requirements are reduced. Entry from any face. Custom sized to your cable schedule.
Perimeter fasteners compress the EPDM gasket evenly. No hinge gap. Better suited than a hinged lid where frequent water exposure or cleaning is expected.
316L throughout: body, lid, gland plate, hardware. Molybdenum-enhanced grade for chloride and salt-spray resistance. 304 available as an alternative.
Gland plates on bottom, sides, or top to your drawing. Single or multiple plates per face. Custom metric hole patterns. Entries are blanked and supplied for site drilling.
ATEX, IECEx and UKCA certified. Category II 2 G. CML-certified Ex e terminal blocks fitted to your specification. Full documentation supplied with each ATEX unit.
Custom sized to your terminal count and wiring radius. Small junction boxes for instrument loops and large boxes for marshalling, same quality, same factory.
All lid screws, DIN rail fixing hardware and earth studs in A4 stainless. No zinc-plated fasteners. Suitable for marine and chemical environments without additional protection.
Key technical data.
Full dimensional drawings, material test certificates and terminal datasheets available on request. Download the product datasheet for the standard specification.
10 standard sizes, but you can specify a custom size for no extra cost. ATEX range covers 100×100×80 to 600×600×300, for larger ATEX boxes see the iTB. Industrial: any size.

Hinged or bolted?
Here's the difference.
Better for wiring access
The hinged lid stays open at 90° during cable installation, keeping both hands free. Better suited when the enclosure needs to be opened regularly for inspection or maintenance. The hinge is a potential ingress point, so IP66 is maintained by the gasket compression.
View iTB Terminal Boxes →Better seal integrity
The bolted lid compresses the gasket at every corner evenly. No hinge gap, no single-point seal failure. Better suited for permanently sealed terminal boxes in harsh environments, or where the box is unlikely to be opened once installed. Slightly longer to open than a hinged lid.
