iCE: indEx Cabinet Enclosures

Introducing the new indEx range of custom ATEX and industrial Cabinet Enclosures built to your design!

Many of our customers have a regular need for larger floor standing ATEX enclosures. As this is just an extension of our rapid design software we are able to scale up our front end build process to accommodate these much larger enclosures. The largest component approved enclosure now stands at 2000mm(h)x1200(w)x800(d). However, it is not just a case of making a bigger enclosure. We ALWAYS ensure that the build quality and material gauge are of sufficient rigidity and durability to withstand the same environmental and physical impact that our smaller ATEX enclosures must endure. Again this is a no compromise solution – just what you have come to expect from indEx, every time.

NB. You know we can build to your exact requirements, we have made a 2800mm(h)x2000(w)x1000(d) “walk-in” cabinet to the same standard as an ATEX enclosure. For more impressive customer projects, watch out for our case study page.

Case Study 2

Our customer required a heavy duty construction made to the same standards as stipulated by the ATEX directive but not actually certified. The construction was to house control and switch gear and include an HMI screen.

In a close working partnership with the integrator indEx designed the construction to the exact end user requirements. For additional strength and rigidity, and to separate out the internal components, it was built in four sections to be joined together once on the compressor.

The construction incorporated 2mm thick, 316l stainless steel, hand TIG welded thus ensuring all sides were upright and the tops and bases all level. This welding method also means that neither the exterior or interior will be subject to any form of corrosion as the welds are passivated as part of our cleaning process.

All parts not made by indEx were incorporated and of the highest specification for 316l materials. However some we had to re-design to suit the application!
